Custom Made

Just made a nappy holder  for a lady who is expecting her first child & wanted something in the nursery to keep all her nappies neat & tidy.

Her theme was Mini Mouse so I thought this would really suit.

Loving Pink!!

I brought this lovely fabric a couple of weeks ago from Fabric Traders I was so excited when it arrived & so pleased with my fabric choice  (its a little brighter than shown here).  

       

I thought it would be nice to make a little cover to protect my book its ideal to carry down to the beach or while lounging around the pool (when I get time of course)  I attached some ribbon in the seam so I could use it for my book mark.

I had some more fabric left (yay) so I decided to make some cushions with out zips for a change, I think the bow is quite cute & makes a change from a zip don't you think??

I will have to order some more of this fabric I hope the girls have some more in stock.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter, I did!! Caught up wth all my family had lots of lovely days catching up with them all, it went far to quickly, looking forward to the next time we can all get together again.

My Creative Space

Haven't had chance to take any picks of my Christmas items so thought I would show you what I had made for my son to wear at a wedding we all went to.

I got the fabric from Thea who kindly let me buy some of her linen before she printed on it, I also have some printed fabric & will show you soon what I will be creating with that.  Thea has just been featured in January's edition of House Beautiful so please go get a copy I'm of to get mine today!!

Perfect fit on the shorts he is such a dot we always have trouble finding a size were the waist  doesn't fall down bless him!!

And here he is arr get up off that floor tee hee, well what can you do he is a boy & had the best time,  any one who has a boy knows what they get up to.

It lasted the day, no seams coming undone, no buttons I covered fell off, a result & I thought a handsome one at that, well I am his mum so I can be biased can't I ???

I will be making some sizes to put up on my made it site in the new year so keep a look out,  or e-mail me your size so I can get one made up for you.

Ps I know my creative space is having a break till next year for the links but I thought I would do my own little one today :))

Curtains

Thought I would share with you my curtains I have made for the new house I was so scared cutting into this gorgeous fabric, I measured it all so many times to be perfectly accurate It was so easy when I got going  as it had a pattern that was a big help to get the perfect cut.

Love my Janome the fabric glided through like butter, it was a dream, there was so much fabric though so I had to use my ironing board to take the weight as my studio isn't finished yet but not to worry my kitchen top was just the trick.   Will show you the studio once it's complete.

All hung made some Sheree's too it just softens the window & compliments the fabric ideally.

There we go, I cannot stop looking at it at the moment  oh I'm so sad aren't I hee hee

All closed and cosy ready for a good night sleep all the Fabric is from Harry Harry the width was 240cm so I never had to make a join which is great, they have so many wide width fabrics I was spoilt for choice but this one was just perfect for me.
