Family

So sorry I have not been able to catch up with all your lovely blogs lately, due to having family stay with us for a while I haven't had chance to get on my computer.

Once I get a chance I will definitely do some posts & swing by to say hi to you all.

I had this bottle of perfume given to me as a gift, I love Marc Jacob's bottles they are so exquisite & have a flower as its lid, it's quite a sweet floral smelling perfume when sprayed  but as it goes into skin it softens & is quite nice.

My Creative Space

The other day my daughter produced this picture to me & asked if I could make this out fit for a project that they are working on at school for a boat regatta, apparently they have all built boats out of card board boxes & are doing a race with them on land so the kid's are all in the boats but running with them.

My daughter & her friend are playing the roll of cheerleaders  so on Sunday I found out I had to make 2 costumes (phew) so off I ran to Spotlight to get all my supplies I needed as I was working Mon & Tue I could only make them in the evening so after 2 nights I finished.  HOORAY.

I should say we finished as my mother in law came to stay with us on Saturday for 5 weeks so she was a great help pinning, ironing & helping with other things, I said "you timed your visit just at the right time" hee.

The skirt is my favourite it turned out really well, go go girls have fun, they have sorted out a routine shame we cannot be there to see it, I didn't do the binding stripes on the top as I ran out of time, more notice next time please Soph!!  hee.

My Creative Space

Thought I would have a go at covering my bedroom lamp shades today to give them a bit of a lift as they looked so plain.

Fabric all cut spray ready be careful with that spray I thought my room was well ventilated but ended up having to go out side, then I didn't check the wind direction first hee.

 I was thinking what have I started?  If I work with the spray glue again I think a mask will be purchased. I entertained myself making them, thank god I didn't video it you would have had a laugh.

I am so pleased how they turned out the glue does hold well on the fabric as one of the shades I realised I had put the fabric on upside down as you can see by the run of the pattern that would have been wrong told ya I was having fun & games hee.

Just a little something

Spring is not to far off so thought I would make some fabric flowers they turned out really well just got to decide what to create with them, headband, or a cushion? Ooh let me think!!!

Will get the light bulb going & think of something unless you have any ideas?

Never made booties before so pleased how they turned out I think I will call them Bootylicious.

Have a great week what ever you have planed, I'm getting ready for the in laws to stay for 5 weeks so busy sorting out the house, we are all so looking forward to their visit.  

Might not get chance to blog too much in September but will try & squeeze some post's in.

Thinking of my Deck

Just finished building the deck, well not me personally I'm not that good at wood work hee.  I am so looking forward to getting idea's together,  I keep changing my mind though as there are so many wonderful looks to create.

I found this lovely picture over Here thanks to A.M  she did a post the other day so I got the link vie her,  its so inviting isn't it?  I could see myself sitting there with a nice glass of wine on a Sunday afternoon!!

We haven't got a covered roof on the deck though so this look probably won't work,  I will keep searching  any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated.

My Creative Space

I love making notice boards, I don't know why I ever stopped making them! I suppose it's just time flying by!!  Well I think I might start making them again and wanted to share with you what I did for my friends daughter.

Her dad brought her a dress from Hong Kong which didn't fit any more & she just didn't want to throw it out so I suggested making some things out of it we managed to get 2 boards & ran them on the wall length ways.  I loved the top part & wanted to keep that in the board as such a shame to cut it out.

I was so pleased with how they turned out I so love this colour & matched up the ribbon with the piping beautifully.

Ribbons

So excited got home from work to find all these gorgeous ribbons waiting for me just got to get creating now, my next delivery will be some bias binding from Simone at Beach Vintage.  Oh Mr post man hurry up :)))

The shed is all stocked for me moving in just got to sort it all now will post some pictures when its looking organised :)
